The benefits of meeting the November 1st priority deadline are early notification of our decision regarding your admission to Ohio State and first consideration for merit scholarships and Honors and Scholars Programs.
Direct admission criteria for Columbus campus - 2025 spring, summer or autumn semesters:
Applicants to The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus are considered for admission on a competitive basis. Students are strongly encouraged to review Ohio State’s application review process and admission criteria.
Students who are admitted to The Ohio State University- Columbus campus are directly admitted to Fisher College of Business and their first-choice specialization .
Important Notes
- Once admitted to the major program, a professional program fee and technology fee is assessed every term. Fees are subject to annual review and may change without notice.
- You will first receive an admissions decision from Ohio State, if admitted, you will then receive a separate admission notification regarding the college of business.
International Freshmen

Transfer Students - Domestic
Columbus Campus: After being admitted to The Ohio State University, transfer students interested in studying business will be reviewed for direct admission to the college of business.
Direct Admission Criteria
Transfer students will be directly admitted to the major program and specialization if the following criteria are met:
- Have transfer credit officially evaluated and posted for Math 1131 or Math 1151 (or equivalent) with a grade of C or better.
- Have transfer credit officially evaluated and posted for English 1110 with a grade of C or better.
- Completion of 26 semester hours of collegiate level coursework earned post-high school graduation.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.10. The grade point averages and earned credits are combined to create a cumulative grade point average of all colleges and universities attended after high school graduation.
Important Notes
- Due to curriculum sequencing, ideal candidates should transfer prior to earning 60 semester hours.
- The major program curriculum consists of business core courses and courses from the selected specialization. Check out our "specialization sheets" for specific requirements and courses.
- There are restrictions limiting how much transfer credit can be applied to the core, specialization, and all business minors:
- A maximum of 3 semester hours of transfer credit may be accepted toward a student's specialization.

Transfer Students - International
Columbus Campus: After being admitted to The Ohio State University, transfer students interested in studying business will be reviewed for direct admission to the college of business.
Direct Admission Criteria
Transfer students will be directly admitted to the major program and specialization if the following criteria are met.
- Admitted international transfer students must have LESS THAN 60 semester hours.
- Have transfer credit officially evaluated and posted for Math 1131 or Math 1151 (or equivalent) with a grade of C or better.
- Have transfer credit officially evaluated and posted for English 1110 with a grade of C or better.
- Completion of 26 semester hours of collegiate level coursework earned post-high school graduation.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.10. The grade point averages and earned credits are combined to create a cumulative grade point average of all colleges and universities attended after high school graduation.

Important Information
- All future students must first apply and be admitted to The Ohio State University.
- You must indicate “Business” or one of our Fisher 12 specializations on the university application as your desired major.
- There is no separate application for the Fisher College of Business
- For the 2025 spring, summer or autumn semesters, the submission of SAT or ACT test scores is optional.
